SP Balasubrahmanyam Is ‘Fully Awake And Responsive’, His Son Confirms Improvement In The Singer’s Health
Veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam, who had been admitted at a Chennai hospital, is now fully awake and responsive. The singer had been admitted on August 5 after he had tested positive for Coronavirus. While he had shared back then that he had mild symptoms and that he was perfectly fine, SP Balasubrahmanyam was later moved to the ICU when his condition worsened. However, the hospital has confirmed he is now fully awake and is also actively participating in physiotherapy session.

According to the hospital's health bulletin on August 31shared by India Today, the press statement giving an update about SP Balasubrahmanyam’s health read, “Thiru SP Balasubrahmanyam who had been admitted due Covid-19 at MGM Healthcare continues to be on ventilator and ECMO support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). His current clinical condition is stable. He is fully awake, responsive and actively participates in physiotherapy. He continues to be closely monitored by our multidisciplinary clinical team."

Meanwhile, the singer’s son SP Charan has been sharing regular updates on his Instagram, informing fans of his father’s health.


In the video shared today, SP Balasubrahmanyam’s son said, “I had gone to the hospital yesterday and today and the doctors have been giving me brief every day of dad's health. There is good improvement in the lungs. Dad is doing some physiotherapy, he is doing a lot of exercises to strengthen his muscles as he has been in bed for so long. His breathing is also looking good and there's a pleasant improvement in dad’s condition. He should be out of this pretty soon.”
